Middle School Baseball: Deering's comeback falls short against Chariho!

     In a non league slugfest against the Chargers of Chariho, Deering's late game comeback fell short in a 12-9 loss.  
     Defensively, Deering, which banged out ten hits, committed seven errors allowing Chariho to score 12 runs. 
     Offensively, Deering, which scored seven runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to cut Chariho's lead to 11-9, received contributions from Troy Lavoie (one double, two walks, and two runs scored, Drew Doran (one r.b.i.), Matt Masse (two singles and one run scored), Tony Correia (one single), Rich Grenier (two walks), Chris Stafford (two run double), Antonio Rei (three singles and one run scored), Jeff Cyr (one double and one run scored), Anthony Indeglia (one walk and one run scored), Jon Skurka (one walk, one run scored, and one r.b.i.), Evan Barrera (single, walk, one run scored, and one r.b.i.), and Ray Zincone (one single, one run scored, and one r.b.i.).
     Rich Grenier, who allowed only one free pass to the 14 batters he faced,  allowed two earned runs on four hits in two innings of work.  Evan Barrera allowed only one run and one hit in two innings of work and Drew Doran allowed only one unearned run on two hits in two innings of work.
