Lions come from behind to beat WW, 5-3!
West Warwick Connie Mack lost to Post 39 /Narragansett Lions 5-3 on Wednesday.
After West Warwick’s Connie Mack team scored three runs in the top of the first inning, it looked like they would on the way to pick up their fourth win of the year.
However, the Narragansett/South Kingstown Post 39 team, who has won the last two Connie Mack titles, had other ideas as they pulled away with a 5-3 victory.
While receiving five free passes and producing five hits, the Lions aggressively stole ten bases in their come from behind win.
In the top of the first inning, WWCM batted around and received hits from Caden Denton (double), Josh Pedus (single) and Zackary Lawrence (double).
Dylan Provoyeur, who took the loss for WWCM, allowed only one earned run on two hits in three innings of solid work.
