Rhode Island Connie Mack Baseball - 2023

Down 5-1 after 3 innings, Vogie Baseball was able to orchestrate a comeback by scoring runs in the fourth and fifth to tie the game.

In the bottom of the eighth inning, Vogie opportunistically used small ball and an errant play to walk away with a 6-5 win. After back-to-back bunt singles, Junior Moniz took advantage of an errant pick-off attempt at second base as he broke to third bases and raced home with the winning run.

Leading the way for Vogie were Brian Abbruzzi who had three hits, three runs scored and struck out ten batters in five innings of shutout relief.

Danny Desilets (2/4), Junior Moniz (2/3) along with Matt Gale and Ayden Sheedy all contributed offensively for the Purple and White.

Landy (3/4) and Salzillo (2/4) led Warwick Pal.
